THE TURN
A different path forward.
Growing up, I found myself misguided, surrounded by crime, gang activity, and making decisions that could have taken my life in a very different direction. Knowing I needed a change, I joined the United States Army in 2009 at the age of 20 as a Combat Engineer. That decision would eventually lead me to the creation of something completely unexpected.
FROM CLIPPERS TO A BRAND
Where grooming became part of the story.
While serving in the U.S., Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, I began cutting Soldiers' hair in 2012 when access to barbers was limited. I later earned the Sapper Tab in 2016. While overseas in 2017, I began experimenting and creating with grooming products that smelled great, performed well, and could hold up through long days in the field. After plenty of trial and error, Dapper Sapper was born.

Building the brand did not come without setbacks. Along the way, I faced the hardships of military service, building my family, attending college while serving, substance abuse (sober since 2023), combat and multiple traumatic brain injuries (while serving overseas) in 2017 and 2019 that required extensive recovery. Through it all, my faith in God has kept me grounded, and I believe God kept me here for a greater purpose. Dapper Sapper continued to grow and evolve into a brand focused on quality grooming, confidence, individuality, and following Rule #1: Always Look Cool.
